	Comprehensive Pornography Detection iShield® Plus monitors your PC for pornography, from all sources such as emails, USB drives, CDs, DVDs and downloaded image files. Its innovative image processing neural network based engine extracts information relating to skin tone, texture, edges, limbs, and faces from the image to decide if the image is potentially pornographic.		Monitoring Communications iShield® Plus provides notification of potential grooming or bullying by monitoring user input as well as chat contents, Instant Messaging communications and MS Office files. iShield® Plus comes with a sizable database of phrases that are indicative of potentially harmful activities. You can add your own phrases to this database and so customize the protection.		Safe and Productive Internet and Application Usage You can define the surfing hours during which the PC can connect to the Internet. You can also limit access to certain applications. iShield® Plus provides productivity reports showing the amount of time different users have spent on each application. This allows you to ensure that the PC is being used productively. To protect any sensitive information you might have from being stolen by malicious software or being inappropriately distributed by users, iShield® Plus provides a personal information protection feature. 	Disk Drive Scanning iShield® Plus's scan drive feature analyzes all files in your PC and provides you with a report of any potentially pornographic images or videos that are present. All suspect files can be deleted with a single mouse click, thereby ensuring that your PC is free of inappropriate material.		Incident Reports iShield® Plus keeps detailed records of each incident detected on your computer. iShield® Plus retains and presents these records in an easy to use Incident Viewer. iShield® Plus can be configured to send an email whenever such incidence occurs allowing you to monitor your PC even when you are away from home.

iShield® Plus takes a unique approach to identifying potentially offensive Internet images and preventing them from being displayed while you surf the Internet. iShield® Plus uses a few processes to protect you before any image is displayed on your PC.


Advanced Image Analysis iShield® Plus captures the active window at regular intervals and extracts the images and text to analyze. Digital image processing determines if an image is potentially pornographic. Our innovative technology analyzes images with Skin Tone Detection, Texture Detection, Edge Detection, Mass Detection, Limb Detection, Face Detection.	Decision Process Neural network technology uses the results of the image analysis and the text on the screen to decide if an image is offensive.	Image Blocking iShield® Plus records suspected images and triggers your selected action, to warn or stop user from viewing pornography.

Text Analysis iShield® Plus’s text analysis process uses a classifier that was developed using the Bayesian Network algorithm and implemented in iShield® Plus as a method of recognising words/phrases considered in the context of other words/phrases. This analysing technique is more accurate compared to the common simplistic keyword approach implemented in most filters and it supports Arabic, Thai, Russian, French and German.	Webpage Analysis iShield® Plus scans the metadata and examines text in the Title, Keywords and Description field of a webpage header. It checks the website’s internet rating labels from reputable content rating body such as RSACi, SafeSurf and PICS amongst others and does an analysis of text, images, links and structure of any visited websites.

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE FROM TM'S SELFCARE

Step 1

Go to the TM Net SelfCare Login screen.
Please key in your Streamyx/1515 ID, password and your IC/Passport Number, then click the “Login” button to access the main menu screen.
Step 2

Look for Online Registration, under Subscribe to iShield Plus, select the package you would like to subscribe to.
Step 3

The Terms & Conditions window will appear. Please read it carefully.
Step 4

Once the Terms & Conditions are read and understood, check the “Yes, I would like to subscribe the tmnet iShield Plus service” box and click the “AGREE/SUBSCRIBE” button to proceed.
Step 5

You will then see a confirmation screen with the software name and the subscription price. Please enter a valid e-mail address at the email column and click the “Subscribe” button.
Step 6

A pop up notification will appear indicating successful subscription. The iShield Plus serial number will be displayed, please keep it for the activation process and for future reference.

iShield® Plus Installation notes

Remember the folder where you download the iShield® Plus Installer file. (Example: c:\ISPSetup.exe)
Once saved to your hard drive, double-click the iShield® Plus Installer file ISPSetup.exe.
Follow the on screen instructions to complete the installation.

If you have another iShield® software version installed on your system, you may be prompted to uninstall this version.

SOFTWARE INSTALLATION AND REGISTRATION

1.0 Installing iShield® Plus

1.1 Log on to the TM Net Self Care website.
1.2 Click "Download iShield Plus" from the SelfCare website, and follow the instructions.
1.3 Click "Next". See Figure 1.
Ensure that your computer has the Microsoft.NET 2.0 Framework installed before installing iShield® Plus.
1.4 The License Agreement window will be displayed. See Figure 2.
Select the "I accept the agreement" option and click "Next".
iShield® Plus will start installing automatically.
1.5 The installation will begin automatically and Figure 3 will be displayed.
Click "Finish" to complete the installation process.

2.0 Registering iShield® Plus

2.1 Next, the Software Registration window will appear. See Figure 4.
Select "Register iShield® Plus" and click "Next". This step requires an internet connection.
2.2 You will see Figure 5 if you selected the trial option, along with the system-generated serial key.
Enter your email address and click "Next".
2.3 See Figure 6. Enter the serial number that has been provided.
Next, enter your email address. If the registration process fails, check your internet connection.
2.4 In Figure 7, create a password to log into iShield® Plus in the Password and Confirm Password textboxes.
Keep your password properly for future reference.
In order to retrieve your lost password, please uncheck the "I want to disable the retrieve lost password feature" checkbox.
2.5 Upon successful registration, Figure 8 will be displayed.
Click "Finish" to complete the registration process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I turn off iShield® Plus?
You can turn off iShield® Plus by setting the Detection Engine to Disabled. Alternatively, if you only want to turn off the screen monitoring aspect or the web-browsing aspect of iShield® Plus, select the appropriate 'off' option in the custom mode settings.

Can I install iShield® Plus on more than one computer?
To install iShield® Plus in additional PCs you need to subscribe for additional license by logging into TM SelfCare.

Will you provide periodic updates?
The Product Update Manager offers you several options for getting periodic software updates. These update options include daily, weekly, or monthly. The Product Update Manager is free and comes installed with iShield® Plus.

Will iShield® Plus work for dial-up, cable, LAN, DSL, and wireless connections?
Yes, iShield® Plus works for all Internet connections regardless of the speed or delivery method.

Can iShield® Plus save different settings for different users, such as small children, older children, or parents?
Yes. iShield® Plus allows you to configure and save profile settings with different type users in mind.

Will iShield® Plus filter search-engine searches; e.g., sex on Google™?
Yes, iShield® Plus filters all the content rendered by a web browser.

How about hotmail.com or other email providers? How can I stop inappropriate content inside emails?
iShield® Plus blocks any pornographic content displayed within Web based emails.

What if I forget my password?
If iShield® Plus detects that you have forgotten your password it will display a link for you to retrieve your password via email.

I've tried to log in to iShield® Plus using my Streamyx password but it doesn't work.
iShield® Plus does not use Streamyx password. Password in iShield® Plus is created separately when you register the product upon installation. In case you have forgotten your password, please refer to FAQ # 8.

Is there a way to disable the "forgot password" function with iShield® Plus?
To disable forgot lost password option you need to check the option “I want to disable retrieve lost password feature” during iShield® Plus registration.
